Created as part of the official Stanley Kubrick by JMM collaboration, these frames honor the legendary auteur when he was sharpening his penchant for visual narrative as a staff photographer for Look magazine. Meticulously sculpted from 10mm cured cellulose acetate in polished black, featuring custom double-laminated temples with black exteriors and black marble interiors, the frame is accented with sterling silver signature arrowhead front pins, hidden 'Classic' wirecores, silver palladium custom 7-barrel hinges, and silver palladium spur-shaped rivets. Outfitted with Armorlite 4-base Sepia CR39 lenses (Cat. 1, 49% VLT) featuring a backside anti-reflective treatment, the 1948 is a sartorial homage to the unflinching vision, obsessive genius, and enduring aesthetic legacy of cinema's master filmmaker.
